Architectural, 2024 -

Can images that do not aim to depict a building itself nor to clearly represent its architecture, still be considered architectural? These images are not conventional architectural photographs, but reflect the perspective of a single photographer. Architecture can extend into the landscape, just as the landscape may contain architecture. The surrounding environment is inseparable from the building itself. Through this line of thought, I have chosen to name this body of work not the noun “Architecture,” but the adjective “Architectural” which expresses qualities and relationships.
